Silver mounted card case and notelet holder. The exterior is of black leather with two silver mounted corners to each side and a silver mounted hinge. The interior is of kid skin and features compartments for calling cards and corner flaps for note paper and a pencil holding loop.
In excellent order with some fraying to the leather on the sides.
The item is actually hallmarked in six places. The hallmarks are for London 1880/81 by George Henry James.
