William IV Sheffield Plated Inkstand. Features a central taperstick holder. The stand is raised upon four bracket feet and features a very fine leaf, flower and scroll raised border. Two glass inkwells sit either side of a taperstick holder with snuffer. The underside is tinned and features the cross keys mark of H. Wilkinson & Co.
In very good order with no dents or splits to the stand or taperstick holder. The glass inkwells have some damage to the bases of both, as shown in the pictures. None of this damage affects the use of the inkwells and cannot be seen when placed in the stand. Some wear to the silver layer on the inkwells and taperstick mounts. The ink bottle mounts are fixed to the glass bottles and cannot be removed. Wear around the base of the taperstick, where it sits in the holder.
