A William IV Silver Inkstand in outstanding original condition. Features three cut glass bottles with silver mounts and two pen rests. Raised on four bracket feet.
Hallmarked to the underside of the stand for London 1834 by Joseph Angell I & John Angell I. The bottle holders on the inkstand are part hallmarked with the makers mark, lion passant and kings head duty mark. The bottle covers are part hallmarked with the makers mark, lion passant and date letter. The bottle collars are all hallmarked except for the makers mark. All pieces match and are original.
In excellent order with very light surface wear. Free of dents, creases, splits and solder. One very small nibble to the base of one glass bottle. One loop missing from the securing pin to the underside.
Approximate silver weight is 406 grams or 13 troy ounces.
